چکیده

Abstract Background Functional disturbances of the gastrointestinal tract are caused by a number neurodysplastic conditions, including diseases that rarer than Hirschsprung’s disease (HSCR), such as ganglion cell immaturity and intestinal neuronal dysplasia (IND). Bcl-2 shows positive immunoreactivity in degenerative immature cells (IGCs). This work evaluates implication immunohistochemical expression cases pediatric pseudo-obstruction (IPO) with ganglionated specimens. 2-year prospective observational study was conducted from January 2017 to December 2019 on all specimens for referred surgery department clinical data suggesting IPO (abdominal distension > 3 months, intermittent bilious vomiting, no radiological evidence transitional zone HSCR or mechanical obstruction). The exclusion criteria were patients related myopathic disorders, aganglionic biopsies, inadequate tissue blocks. same without used control group. All underwent histologic examination nerve bundles also evaluated expression. Results Twenty-one analyzed, six colonic resection 15 biopsies taken full-thickness transanal biopsy ( n = 12) incisional inadequately functioning stomas 3). mean ± standard deviation age patient cohort 22 7.4 months (range, 19–153 months), there 13 (61.9%) male patients. protein strongly 57.1% cases, weakly 19%, negative 23.8% well 21 A highly significant correlation observed between P < 0.001), where hyperganglionic showed strong positivity compared hypoganglionic adequately ganglionic association found IND other disorders dysganglionosis 0.04) post-HSCR 0.002). Conclusion immunohistochemistry is valuable tool diagnose allied through its IGCs, which difficult identify conventional hematoxylin eosin staining.

Histopathological Evaluation and Analysis of Immunohistochemical Expression of Bcl-2 Oncoprotein in Colorectal Carcinoma

Abstract Introduction: Colorectal cancer is the third most prevalent malignancy with high mortality rate, necessitating markers that predict survival and guide the treatment. Previous studies have examined the immunohistochemical expression of Bcl-2, an apoptotic marker, in colorectal carcinoma, but results have been contradictory. Objectives: To evaluate the histopathological featu...

Expression of the Apoptosis Inhibitor Bcl-2 in Sputum Eosinophils in Patients with Asthma

Background and Objectives: Apoptosis of eosinophils is of significant value in assessing the airway inflammation in patients with asthma. Our purpose was to investigate the degree of expression of the Bcl-2 protein in sputum eosinophils during acute asthma exacerbation and its relationship with exacerbation severity.    Materials and Methods: The study was carried out in Mostafa Khomeini Ho...

immunohistochemical expression of p53 and bcl-2 proteins in advanced esophageal cancer patients

the current challenges in the management of esophageal cancer are to obtain a better understanding of underlying molecular alterations to provide new treatment options. we studied the p53 and bcl-2 protein expression in esophageal carcinomas to correlate molecular alterations with clinicopathological findings. tissue samples of 37 patients with advanced esophageal carcinoma were analyzed by imm...
